Malc grew up in Hawke’s Bay and met Mike through their wives, who worked together in the early 2000s and became really good friends. 

In 2007, Malc and his wife decided to travel to the UK for a look around, which turned out to be a 10-year excursion with some pretty amazing experiences! From sleeping in the Sahara desert, riding a dog sleigh in Lapland, or enjoying a couple of steins at the Oktoberfest in Germany!

Basing themselves in southern Scotland, about 40 minutes from Edinburgh, Malc worked in a hotel bar for a time before following his passion to become a sales rep. Malc had two sales jobs with international companies, which he absolutely loved, “meeting new people whilst kind of getting paid to travel around the country…what’s not to love about that?”

In 2015, Mike and his wife travelled to the UK so Mike could watch the RWC and his wife could see her friend. At that time, Malc and his wife were in the early stages of pregnancy with their first child. After their visit, it started to become quite apparent that Malc and His wife were keen to come back home to HB to raise their little boy. Malc just needed to get another job.

At that time, Mike’s plastic dome business was getting a bit much to handle by himself, and he started to think about employing someone to help him manage and sell the product, taking it to the next stage…. Insert Malc, and the rest is history.

In his spare time, Malc enjoys spending time with his family and friends at the beach, camping, BBQs, and doing a little bit of DIY. Of course, he still loves to travel and experience different things.

Malc is passionate about the product he sells and sees all the benefits of it. He also enjoys getting on-site with customers, old and new, to show how the system goes together - nothing beats a bit of site banter, and at the end, a cold beer always hits the spot!
